Buying an old smartphone will preserve the ecology of the planet
New technology influences the ecology of the planet negatively. Until 2040, air emissions will increase so much that they will cause great harm to the environment. This is because the production of new technological equipment, including a variety of smartphones and gadgets, is skyrocketing.
The atmosphere receives a large amount of carbon dioxide, which leads to air pollution. From the total gas volume, 1% is formed from the production of smart devices. By 2040, this figure will increase and reach 14% of total carbon dioxide emissions. Modern people prefer the latest models and types of phones. After a few years of use, a new model appears on the world market. It becomes very popular. Nevertheless, researchers proved that the average lifespan of a smartphone is 7 years. Yet, in most cases, modern people use their cell phones in a 2-3 years’ period and try to buy a new device. This is because of the rapid development of technology. People want to be on-trend with the latest models. However, this human need is not harmless.
The demand for gadgets in the world market will grow rapidly. In the production process of one phone, the emission to the environment is 85% to 95%. We see the most dangerous period during the release and development of new products. Each person living on the planet is responsible for the state of the environment.

The influence of modern technical equipment on the children’s development
Smartphones adversely affect children’s generation. Long-term use of cellphones in childhood provokes mental disorders. A child who uses a modern smartphone up to 18 years of age, is exposed to an increased risk of health problems, compared with other children of this age group. Experts find symptoms of anxiety, depression, decreased research performance, and self-control. These children are much more difficult to meet.
Greenpeace carried out interesting research. The purpose of the experiment was to find the most dangerous smartphones and gadgets. It was concluded that the simpler the gadget in the repair service, the less the environment is polluted by the production of new technologies.
If you use a more secure smartphone, the operating time of the device will increase. In Beijing, Greenpeace employees organized an action, during which people brought broken gadgets. Workers repaired the gadgets. This prevented people from buying a new device. Thus, it protected the ecology of the planet.
Why second-hand smartphones? How dangerous is the smartphone production?
A smartphone comprises 40% metal compounds, 40% plastics, 20% ceramics and additional materials. In the metal’s elemental compounds, there are about 60 various metals: copper alloy, platinum, gold, silver, tungsten. Some metal substances are irreplaceable-neodymium, dysprosium, and others. Carbon dioxide is produced in the process of phone production and processing of these metals. It is the most harmful compound, which enters the atmosphere, and accumulates, in sufficient volume. Gradually, this leads to significant pollution of the environment and verges on a global problem. A person should think before purchasing a new device. After all, caring for the environment begins with a single person. Environmental protection is formed with the refusal to purchase a new smartphone when a person makes a choice in favor of used products.
